Lorenzo H. Suarez, M.D.

Lorenzo Suarez was born and raised in Brawley, California. He is one of eleven children and grew up attending public school in Brawley from elementary through High school. He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1974. After High School, he attended UCSD, La Jolla for Pre-Med studies and later transferred to University of Minnesota Medical School, graduating in 1983. He is Board Certified and a member of the Diplomat of American Academy of Family Physicians. The support and friendships of the Brawley Community strongly influenced Dr Suarez decision to return to his hometown and establish his medical practice.

Currently, Dr Suarez has a large Family Practice office in Brawley which serves the entire Imperial Valley. He is the Medical Director for Imperial County Physicians Medical Group. He serves on the sub-committee for Pioneer Memorial Hospital utilization management. He is also on staff for both local Hospitals; Pioneer Memorial Healthcare District and El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Suarez’s hobbies include sports Medicine where he volunteers his time serving as the team physician for the local High School Football team as well as providing Health screenings and sports physicals to local teams in the Imperial Valley. He is a member of the Elks Lodge and long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Dr. Suarez has 5 children and is happily married to his wife of 32 years.
